The 26th November will mark 20 years since Eric Cantona joined Manchester United and transformed the team into title winners.
Manchester United supporters will be showing their affection for Eric, with a special week of tributes to pay homage to the great man. #cantonaweek kicks off with a supporters charity evening in honour of Eric, at The Bishops Blaize pub on the Friday night (23rd Nov). Hosted by Pete Boyle, tickets are £2 and are available from The Bishops. A special tribute message from Eric himself will be played on the screen during the night.
For the QPR and West Ham home games, supporters are encouarged to pay tribute to Cantona, by bringing along Cantona flags, banners, shirts and masks. A full repetoire of Cantona terrace chants will be the order of the day during both games.
Prior to the West Ham game, a supporters Cantona march will take place before the game. Supporters are to meet at 7pm at the corner of the Bishops/Red Star sports where they will march to the ground at 7:30pm. Supporters are again encouraged to bring flags, banners and Cantona masks to the march.
New fans venue, Red Square will be hosting Cantona themed activities in their venue before both home games.
