Who Are SEF

Stretford End Flags (SEF) is an independent supporters group, who were initially set up to provide the banners that adorn the front of the Stretford End. We now aim to improve the atmosphere and colour in all parts of Old Trafford.

We are all match going Manchester United fans, who travel both home and away and all have a desire to see a more colourful and better atmosphere within Old Trafford.

 

The SEF moderators and committee are all volunteers and we welcome other Manchester United Fans to get involved.

 

SEF is about supporting Manchester United, the players, the history and the traditions of the club. We are a non-political group and seek to represent the interests of Manchester United Supporters.

 

We are a self-sufficient group and receive no funding from MUFC or any sponsors, although we work with the support of Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United.

In order to achieve our aims, we rely on financial donations from YOU the supporters, as each banner and flag has large costs involved in order to comply with health and safety legislation. The Stretford End banners alone cost over £450 each to produce.

 

As well as providing banners we have:

·         Produced 4 giant TIFO flags that are used for European games.

 

·         Designed and implemented mosaics that have been seen at the bigger games such as "Believe" and "For Sir Matt".

 

·         Provided and funded large over the head surfer flags.

 

We have designated European Nights as "Flag nights" and YOU the supporters are encouraged to bring in your own flags, that can adorn the tiers of Old Trafford. Small flags on sticks are also permitted.

 

What You Can Do

Donate to SEF either on-line or by posting cheques made payable to "Stretford End Flags".

 

Bring your own flags and scarf's into the stadium to create more colour.

 

Submit your banner and flag designs for us to produce.  We continue to seek new designs for Stretford End banners, designs can be sent to our postal address, website forum or by-mail.
